What pests are there that damage your lawn?

Chafer Grubs - pale, about 1.5cm long - eat the grass roots killing it
Leatherjackets - grey like dirty caterpillers - damages grass roots
Worms - these leave worm casts on the top which make the lawn unsightly.
Mole - not an insect but a mammal. Can cause chaos on your lawn!
Ants - can cause ant mounds of soil at their entrances. Looks unsightly and encourages weeds

Are there natural pest control for these insects?

Some birds such as starlings will eat these insects but to get at them they do tend to pull up the grass. As the grass is damaged by the pest you will get bald patches in which weeds will flourish.
If you repair the patches with grass seed you will solve this problem.

For worm casts you can brush them off the lawn with a light brush if it's dry. You can also collect them as they're good quality soil!
